We had the best afternoon yesterday, visiting @levrierbyjoirvine winery in Nuriootpa. Levrier is the French word for
greyhound and the place reflects Jo Irvine’s love of wine and of greyhounds- 2 things that are very close to my own heart.
We chatted for ages with Glenn as he took us through the delicious wine tastings. And we also got to talk all-things-
greyhound with Kerri when she brought the beautiful Daphne to meet Maxie.
It was a very special afternoon and Glenn was so generous with his time and his hospitality. We will definitely be back!
If you’re looking for a (vegan!) winery that offers a friendly, personal experience…AND one that you can share with your
doggos, check out their website to make a booking.
Thanks again @levrierbyjoirvine! We had a fantastic time.
(And extra special thanks to my wonderful co-pilot, Robbi who was clever enough to know this would be the perfect
birthday outing for me!

Great to see the Levrier tasting room now open for visits!
If you are ever in Barossa, Jo Irvine is one of the leading wine makers and considered a baroness of the Barossa.
She makes a sparkling meslier, many people don’t know it’s one of the few grapes allowed to go into champagne.
Jo makes one of the only full variety sparklings in the world…the French are learning this wine from her!
It’s also dog friendly! they have a dog park for the poochies

One of the best wine tasting experiences we’ve ever done!
The wines were all absolutely fantastic, and Jo’s passion for winemaking and greyhounds is very clearly showcased in
every aspect of the entire experience.
If you have a dog who would love to go wine tasting with you, this is a cellar door you absolutely cannot miss.
The wine is beautiful and delicious, the label artwork is exquisite, the resident wine greyhound Daphne is a total sweetie,
and Jo and Peter are the perfect hosts and will regale you with entertaining anecdotes and give you some insight into the
the wonderful world of wine and greyhounds.
I cannot recommend Levrier highly enough.
